The Artistry of Home

Jacquelyn’s affinity for cabinet design, and how those cabinets fit into a home, led builders to suggest that she become a general contractor.

The encouragement worked. She took the test, got her license and now more than 28 years later, Jacquelyn has built some of the most iconic custom homes in Auburn, Alabama and on Lake Martin in Alabama.

Growing up in a small town in central Alabama, Jacquelyn loved drawing and painting at an early age. She believes her creative nature may have been genetic and passed down from her grandmother Zola, who ran the family silo business.

As life tends to be, Jacquelyn set aside her love of painting for most of her adult life as she concentrated on being a wife and mother and business owner.

Or perhaps she continued her love of painting and drawing through the years, but on a much different canvas. The artistry of designing and building a family’s dream home.

Today, some 30 years since she last painted on canvas, Jacquelyn has rediscovered her love of creating art through watercolors and acrylics.
